Description : This project was to support Home MMC in Roath, Cardiff and consists of nine 2-storey, modular, and energy-efficient townhouses located on Crofts Street. These net-zero carbon homes, a partnership between Cardiff Council and Wates Residential, feature solar panels and heat pumps, providing sustainable, affordable housing.

Technology: Modular construction (built off-site in Nottingham) featuring solar panels, mechanical heat recovery ventilation, and no gas connection.

Sustainability: Designed to be 90% more energy-efficient than standard homes, significantly reducing resident bills.

Impact: Part of Cardiff’s efforts to become carbon neutral by 2030, with units handed over to the council for social housing.

This project was the first of its kind and Joseph & his team was called to help supply over 50+ roller blinds
